A documentary on night markets won the audience prize at the harbour festival. It follows three stalls from the hour they set up to the plate that does not sell. There is no narrator. The vendors talk while they work, and sometimes they do not talk at all.
The director shot for six weeks and used four. A stall that closed midway through filming stays in the cut, because a film about the market that only showed the stalls still standing would have been a brochure.

Festival jurors gave their own prize to a different film. The split is public and, the festival director said, healthy. Audience votes had been criticised in previous years for clustering around the opening-night title, which this year they did not.
The three vendors attended the screening. One left before the vote to reopen the stall. The film, the vendor said, does not pay the gas.
